Hot water expert and longstanding team member Kevin Potter has been appointed as national sales manager whereas Gary Banham advanced to the role as senior area sales manager for London. This development reinforces Hamworthy’s initiative to support growth and deliver excellent customer service.
With 20 years of experience in HVAC and 15 years in hot water – of which 10 added to the success of Hamworthy, Kevin Potter’s contribution to the sales team was recognised and he was appointed as new national sales manager, looking after a team of currently 13 sales managers across the UK.
On the next step of his career, Kevin commented,
“I feel privileged to be able to head up the sales team of one of the industry’s leading commercial boiler manufacturers and I’m looking forward to put our plans for 2020 and beyond into action.”
Gary Banham on the other hand only joined Hamworthy in December 2018. With 20 years’ experience and key involvement with younger engineers in form of the CIBSE Young Engineers Network (YEN), he soon became a strong force in the sales team. Gary’s work left such an impression, he was promoted to senior area sales manager for the London area, looking after four team members. He will also be covering for his colleague Paul Fox who retired in December, taking care of key account management and specification in the region.
Gary said,
“I have a passion for supporting both clients and colleagues alike. In my new position, I can help more people than ever before and be closer to understanding the wider London regions challenges toward the plant room of the future.”
Darren Finley, Managing Director Commercial Products – Groupe Atlantic UK & ROI, who promoted both, added,
“Kevin has worked at Hamworthy for over a decade and in that time has built enormous respect from his fellow colleagues within the company. Always putting others first, he has developed strong customer relationships through his personal commitment to the Hamworthy brand and has shown himself to be a natural leader who will develop an already strong salesforce to that next level.
Gary joined us only recently but has excelled in his original role, tutoring other team members in our new customer relationship management system. He’s quickly become a leading force, so his promotion was a natural step.”
