Hamworthy’s best-selling boiler, the Wessex ModuMax mk3, has been developed to now operate at a maximum flow temperature of 90°C.
The higher operating temperature of the Wessex ModuMax mk3 commercial boiler allows it to compensate for distribution losses around very large commercial heating systems. Able to operate at 90/50°C, the boiler can condense most efficiently and also benefits from a high turndown ratio allowing exact load matching and less wasted energy. These features make it an excellent choice for heat networks.
Looking back at a 10-year history, Wessex ModuMax boilers already provide heat for the domestic and commercial mixed development district heating projects Stanmore Place in London and The Movement in Greenwich. The mk3 version, which launched in February last year offers improved controls and a wide differential temperature of 40°C, improving management of heat supply at the same time as maximising condensing operation.
The compact and flexible modular boiler can easily replace boilers on older heating systems, especially where buildings can’t be modified and space is restricted.
A 10-bar pressure rating makes it also suitable to provide heat to taller buildings.
Combined with a 10-year warranty on the stainless steel heat exchanger, it offers peace of mind for project owners.
