Paul Mickleburgh London Specifications Sales Manager Hamworthy

Starting his journey as a Marine Engineer Officer, where he spent eight years travelling the world, Paul first joined the Hamworthy team in 1998 as a London Area Sales Manager.  Fast forward to 2023: Paul has many years servicing, installing, commissioning and designing commercial heating systems under his belt, which perfectly positions him in his new role as London Specification Sales Manager.  As part of this role, Paul is looking forward to addressing the new challenges surrounding Net Zero and advising on how best to make the transition from traditional commercial heating systems to new low carbon solutions.

Paul says, “I’m looking forward to working with London Specifiers to help advise on compliant commercial heating system design, which can be difficult, particularly in older commercial properties.  It’s all about being able to provide a solution that is both future-proof and efficient”.

With the recent changes to the Building Regulations, which require improved energy efficiency and lower temperatures, Paul can advise on all aspects of commercial heating systems, including large natural refrigerant Heat Pumps.

Throughout his years within the industry, Paul has been involved in a variety of interesting assignments, which include a project to change the boilers at 10 Downing Street, The Albert Hall and a heating system upgrade at the CIBSE offices in Balham, London, as part of its Carbon Reduction Plan.

In his spare time, Paul has a penchant for travelling.  Recently returned from a holiday in Columbia, previous trips have taken him as far as Argentina, Peru, Chile and Ecuador, with the added highlight of sailing around the Galapagos Islands.  Slightly closer to home, Paul also supports Luton Town Football Club through the good and the bad times – which are thankfully now good times!
