Together with the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Technical Symposium. **UPDATE** Originally planned to take place on 16th and 17th April, due to COVID-19, the Technical Symposium has been rearranged as a virtual event taking place on 14th/15th September.
Climate change is the topic dominating the industry. This year’s Technical Symposium organised by CIBSE in co-operation with ASHRAE will evolve around the impact of global warming on how buildings are designed, operated and maintained to make them efficient, keep their environmental impact low as well as keep occupants safe and well.
The event will bring together “young and old” – engineers, researchers and users alike – to exchange ideas on how to improve practice in the industry. This is not just limited to heating-related topics, but also comprise subjects such as indoor air quality, fire safety and natural ventilation.
Not only geared towards academics, the symposium is just as much a platform for designers, contractors, consultants, commissioning and controls engineers as well as those responsible for building maintenance.
