Hamworthy Heating Cleans up the Beach

A group of our staff along with their friends and families from the local area volunteered their time to help clean up Bournemouth beach last month.

The volunteers picked up 9 bags of litter on the evening of Wednesday 24^th August. Some of the items collected from the beach included rusty nails, plastic bottle caps, disposable BBQs, glass bottles and takeaway paper cups.

Janis Roe, Sales Support Manager at Hamworthy Heating, commented, “It was a glorious evening, with beautiful sunshine. If we can all do a little bit to help our environment, we can really make a difference. The team had a lovely time doing something to keep our community clean and tidy, and the weather was also on our side with clear blue skies.”

The Hamworthy team have been taking part in beach clean ups since 2016 and encourage their staff to help the local community by giving them one day a year to take part in events and fundraising.
