Hamworthy takes on the Jurassic Coast Mighty Hike 2024 to support Macmillan
On the 7th of September 2024, several members of the Hamworthy team will be joining forces to complete a grueling 42km Jurassic Coast Mighty Hike to help raise vital funds for people living with cancer.
In signing up to do the Jurassic Coast Mighty Hike 2024, Nathalie Pezellier, Donna Fletcher, Jen Clayton, Sally Ennis, Yvette Smith, and Nicky Woods, have each pledged to fundraise at least £250 for Macmillan Cancer Support. This money will help the charity to provide vital cancer services, research, and campaigns to achieve cancer care and support the cancer workforce.
Starting inland in Wareham, the team will be putting on their hiking boots and heading out towards the stunning Dorset coastline, where they will take in the fantastic views of the famous Corfe Castle and Old Harry Rocks.
Determined to take on this beautiful yet challenging route, the team has been busy training in the run-up to this event. Some have already practiced parts of the route along the Dorset coast whilst others have completed the Yorkshire 3 Peaks.
Macmillan Cancer Support is one of the largest British charities and provides specialist health care, information, and financial support to those affected by cancer. With over 3 million people in the UK living with cancer, McMillan Mighty Hikes enables the charity to continue to provide vital services for people who need them the most. Simply put - every mile walked, and every pound raised counts!
So far, our amazing team has raised almost £1,000 and counting. This will make a mighty difference!
